Igor Stojanović, Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina representing the Serbian people, spoke out regarding the meeting between SDA President Bakir Izetbegović and the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Igor Kalabukhov.
“Russia has once again demonstrated that they wish to limit the statehood of Bosnia and Herzegovina to relations and dialogues with individuals,” stated Stojanović, adding:
“Regarding the relationship between Russia and one of the nations in BiH. This time, they are engaging with the SDA president, who currently holds no official position. In its statement, Russia mentions that it is building relations with Bosniaks. This is a policy that benefits Serbian and all other nationalists.”
“This approach seeks to undermine the international subjectivity of our country. Bosnia and Herzegovina is not an ethnic community, but an independent state recognized by the United Nations, a state for all its citizens, and it will remain so despite attempts to diminish and deny its sovereignty through discussions with those who present themselves as fighters solely for their own interests.”
