UPOZORENJE IZ SRBIJE: Evo šta planira Aleksandar VuÄŤić nakon odlaska Milorada Dodika s politiÄŤke scene…

Aleksandar Olenik, lawyer and vice president of the League of Social Democrats (LSV-Vojvođani), spoke to “Slobodna Bosna” about the reactions and plans of the authorities in Serbia following the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s decision to revoke the mandate of Milorad Dodik, president of the Bosnian entity Republika Srpska.

The political decline of Milorad Dodik reflects the diminishing influence of Aleksandar Vučić in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as in the region, he believes.

-They are now trying to reduce the damage they have already suffered by engaging in this type of propaganda. Essentially, there is not a serious political capability behind these views to actually effect any concrete change, Olenik stated.

He noted that “Vučić no longer has majority support in Serbia, he is no longer legitimate, and consequently, his allies in the region, who have even less support in Bosnia, have even less legitimacy.”

“Vučić, his regime, and those he has placed throughout the region are slowly but surely losing political strength and power, and this is now clearly visible, it cannot be hidden. They may attempt to try with such statements, but essentially, this is the beginning of the end,” he conveyed.

-Following Dodik’s departure from power, Vučić will try to install another leader in Republika Srpska who will serve him, and this is something Vučić has done in previous elections for the president of Republika Srpska, as he played on multiple candidates.

In other words, he financed and supported the campaigns of several candidates in case one of them won. Essentially, as long as nationalist policies remain dominant in Republika Srpska, there will not be any significant changes, except that we will have different names and faces. I believe that at this moment, Vučić is still financially, propagandistically, and organizationally quite capable of decisively influencing elections in Republika Srpska. I think, unfortunately, that Vučić will once again have his extended arm in Republika Srpska, Olenik said to “Slobodna Bosna.”

VUČIĆ IS SINKING DODIK

Olenik also commented on the scandalous statement by Ivica Dačić, the Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs, who openly intervened in the internal matters of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

-Just as Vučić hides behind Serbia, so perhaps even more acutely, Dodik hides behind Republika Srpska. Both are trying to maintain their power even though they no longer have the support of the citizens.

Both are a burden to the citizens of Serbia and Bosnia. This is an example that is most evident, as Dodik should have resigned when he was initially convicted, rather than jeopardizing the Bosnian entity Republika Srpska.

Dačić’s statement is more of a matter of folklore, as he has no real say in Serbia. Nor does anyone else in the Serbian government. He lacks the political strength or capability for anything else, other than making such irresponsible statements.

What is even more evident is Vučić’s reaction, which for a Šešelj radical is quite moderate, diplomatically inclined, and essentially he didn’t say anything significant. This can be linked to meetings with Giorgia Meloni and diplomatic communications with the European Union.

What we all know, just like every Šešelj radical, is that if his power is threatened and he needs to let some people go, Vučić will not hesitate to do so.

Essentially, there is no significant reaction from Vučić, other than a statement aimed more at his voters in Serbia, more as part of an election campaign than any serious support for Dodik, much less any significant influence on Bosnia and Herzegovina, Olenik concluded in his conversation with “Slobodna Bosna.”
